Donnie SaxtonOn my fifth visit to India this spring, a small group of enthusiastic photographers joined me. We covered the typical cities that make up the Golden Triangle of India (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur). In addition, we explored Udaipur, known as the city of lakes, and ended our journey in the sacred city of Varanasi. We traveled by plane, bus, tuk-tuk, rickshaw (which at times meant dodging cows and motorcycles).

Our goal was to move beyond the typical tourist photos of India and get creative in how we captured the spirit of this marvelous country. We met this goal with the instrumental help of our guide and owner of Indus Trips, Parveen Kumar. With his help, we found our way into the backrooms of the spice market in Delhi, ventured down the Ganges River and mingled with the local sadhus smoking up a storm, captured the Taj Mahal in the soft, warm light of both sunrise and sunset, and engaged in walks through local neighborhoods to get a sense of typical Indian life.

All of us agreed that the highlight of the trip was the day spent at the Lathmar Holi Festival in Barsana. This rowdy celebration signals the coming of spring by way of coating everything and everyone in a sea of color. We took great care to seal and cover our cameras, and made sure we wore old clothes we could throw away afterward, and marched head on into the frenzy of locals smearing colors on our face or throwing colored powder on us while declaring “happy holi.” While it was a bit daunting to move through masses of people, all of us agreed “we would do it again in a heartbeat.” India is one of those rare countries that leaves an imprint on your soul and should be on the bucket list of anyone who appreciates world cultures.

Gustavo CunhaGreat service! I made 2 tours around India with Indus Trips, including The Golden Triangle, Goa and Rishikesh (Dev Bhoomi) and they were spotless, a wonderful experience, really. Deborah MooreWe booked Golden Triangle tour in India with Indus Trips and we loved the way it was planned and managed by Parveen. Our tour started as we landed in New Delhi, India and covered Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The hotels booked for us were really good. Our driver Jogi ( Joginder) was nice and helpful. We went to Old Delhi, visited the Taj Mahal and at Jaipur we visited the fort, the king’s palace, museum and the amazing Hawa Mahal too. It was fun and the price was good too. We will be coming back for more for sure!!

We have just arrived back home, and we are already planning to visit India soon again. Thank you so much for making our trip such a memorable experience. Both me and Ken had a wonderful time, especially in Rajasthan. And we really appreciate the way your customized the whole package for us, and yeah one word for the two drivers that you arranged – both Kuljeet and Dharmendra were absolutely terrific guys.

Thanks a ton again. Look forward to seeing you next October.

Cheers! Hannah Marshal

We have all reached back to our homes now, and yesterday we had a get-together at my place to discuss our trip to India. The entire group was raving about the trip and seemed almost unhappy to be back!

We understand that we were on a budget trip, but within our constraints we were completely satisfied with both the accommodation and food arrangements that you made for us.

The highlight of the journey was our trip to Agra. I must of course not be the first person to mention that we were awed by the sight of the grand Taj Mahal!! What an ode to love!

I wrote to you to say a special thank you for making this group tour of ours such a beautiful one. Thank you Praveen!!.
